ALBANIA, TIRANA – 2022

In May 2022, a meaningful gathering highlighting the cultural representation of Turkish cuisine took place in Tirana, the capital of Albania. Hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Tirana, and under the gracious patronage of Ambassador Ahmet Murat Yörük and Mrs Ayşegül Erdal Yörük, the Turkish Cuisine events brought guests together around a refined gastronomic narrative.

As part of the programme, presentations accompanied by a specially curated menu introduced guests to the deep-rooted traditions, spirit of sharing, and elegance of Turkish cuisine. Each dish offered more than a culinary experience—it conveyed a multi-layered story shaped by history, geography, and a culture of coexistence.

The tables set in Tirana once again demonstrated that gastronomy plays a powerful role not only in the kitchen, but also in diplomacy, cultural exchange, and the building of lasting friendships. On this occasion, Turkish cuisine emerged as a universal language of sincerity, connection, and mutual understanding.
